Still Wally`s Still in Dale

The atmosphere is more bar than restaurant. The food sublime.. it is a very hardy and German rooted menu with authentic German cooks in house baked bread and jam. Very friendly wait staff. Highly recommend.

Really a nice place, cozy environment. So many cool things to look at, such varied history. Service at first was awful, our waitress was not very kind but once we had a different server, service vastly improve. Food was really good, prepared the way we ordered. Some items especially the dinner menu is expensive and even some items on the lunch menu seemed a bit over priced. All that aside, it's definitely worth visiting and easy to find.

Excellent food and huge portions. You will not be disappointed. The service is always great too!

We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday night. The place only had a few patrons and didn't look very busy. Didn't get our food until almost 2 hours later and most of the food arrived cold or looked like it had been reheated multiple times.Very expensive for poor quality and even more poor service. It's a shame because this place had awesome food just a year ago, but we haven't eaten here in quite some time. Looks like things have gone down hill in that year time frame. Will not be returning.

This does not deserve any stars. This place is disgusting.

The food is good when they get it right. We've been there twice and each time received excuses for the errors which seemed more a managerial issue. Both times we ended up being there for over and hour and a half when we only visited the dining room. I wish I could give a better review because the food is really fantastic tasting, but good food isn't the only thing that makes a place successful.

Gourmet style breakfast. Pan fried haddock, homestyle fries and scrambled eggs. Excellent. Eggs Benedict, homemade bread and jam and a homemade treat with your bill. Very loud, eclectic atmosphere. Always crowded so allow plenty of time.

Tenderloin was cooked to perfection and the French Toast was perfect.

I've been there 4 times. Won't go back for multiple reasons. Not worth the trip or money, at all.

Update after second visit. Good food, horrible service. Will not eat there again. Previous review: Wife and I went there this morning for breakfast. Very interesting place to visit and eat. Menu has good choices. Not cheap, but it's a higher quality of food and large portions. Got the smoked pork chop with eggs and potatoes--so good! Had a slight hiccup with my food and they went out of their way to fix me up and make sure I was happy. Great service and food. Highly recommended.

Raw fish for the walleye and eggs then ordered the lobster Benedict....no ham and the lobster was crayfish....then drowned everything in so called hollandaise sauce. What a disappointment from last summer. I will not return.

Went in for a late breakfast after church on Sunday. Absolutely fantastic meal! The home made raspberry jam is wonderful and my omelette was perfect. Also, I can't remember when I had better bacon! I think they must smoke their own bacon or something!

Great food for a great price, plus the serving sizes are huge! Only complaint I have is they don't do hash browns or pancakes. Otherwise fantastic place!

What a gem in the middle of nowhere. We snowmobiled here for breakfast. Great service and excellent food. The ham was very tasty. Great bloody Mary’s too.

Food and portion size is always amazing. Their french toast made from homemade bread is to die for. They are always short staffed which makes your experience go from amazing to average. If you are a patient and understanding person, I'd say you'll love this place.

Wally's is one of the best places to get breakfast! It's never been bad, service has been great, Chris is a great guy and take care of his customers! Amazing place to bring your family. It was awesome today we were eating and a couple tables down they had a baby, she/he was getting a little fussy so Chris goes over and picks him/her up so they could continue to eat and he had that baby smiling! Amazing experience, family friendly, great food, and a must go if you've never been!

Food is normally good, but prices are too high. Normally their German potato salad is great, but last time it had no sauce on it, hardly any flavor. Burger itself was tiny and over cooked. Building is super cool. Not sure I will go back.

A great lunch stop for us. The food is homemade and always good; prices are on par, not inexpensive but not off the charts

The wait time was unacceptable. It was later on a Saturday night there was only a few people there. Waited 15 minutes for a server, then it took another hour to get our food. My fried haddock was very good, my boyfriend had some terrible pasta. Pretty pricey for what you get.

Came here for breakfast. I had the haddock and he had the rainbow trout both came with eggs, toast and homemade jam, delicious potatoes with ham, green pepper, and onion. And homemade cookies for dessert!! Awesome! Will be my go to from now on for sure and cant wait to try lunch and dinner.

Came here on a recommendation and wasn’t disappointed. Normally up to a 30 minute wait, but we were seated immediately on a Sunday morning.The food seemed to keep coming, from the bread before the meal, to the cookies with the check. Everything was very good.Great staff and so much to look at, makes this a wonderful experience.
